WELCOME! I’m Cheryl Speakman an author assistant offering standard administrative duties, social media support, with specialties in research & accuracy support, continuity auditing, and story‑logic analysis for fiction and nonfiction authors.

 

Before stepping into the publishing world, my career has spanned narcotics investigations, intelligence analysis, fraud detection, and cryptocurrency asset tracing — fields where precision, consistency, and clear communication weren’t optional. They were survival skills.

 

Now I bring that same level of rigor to the writing process.

I help authors build worlds that feel lived‑in, timelines that hold together, and plots that stand up to scrutiny. Whether you’re writing historical romance, crime, mystery, thriller, or contemporary fiction, I’m here to make sure your story is accurate, immersive, and internally consistent.

 

My specialty is historical realism — especially the 1880s. I use genealogical research methods to find first-person references for your time and location to bring realism in vivid detail to your work and deepen reader engagement. Modern Open Source Intelligence techniques expand my research range through to contemporary topics.

 

Worldbuilding consistency becomes exponentially more challenging as your series grows. In all of my work, tracking large amounts of data, keeping it organized and accessible.  If you need help verifying details, untangling timelines, or making sure your characters’ actions make sense, that’s where I shine.

 

In addition to research and manuscript support, I also create short‑form video content for authors who want to grow their visibility on TikTok, Reels, and BookTok. My instagram reels have surpassed 20,000 views in a single weekend. Capcut has invited me to apply as a template creator. These videos are a blend of creativity and strategy that helps your story reach the readers who will love it most.
